Proposed Activities
Immediate Intervention Coordination
For the promotion of GIPSE and specifically for the Immediate Intervention area:
»
To give conferences about the program and specifically about Crisis Intervention, to general public and to GIPSE’s members interested in this area of attention.
»
To offer formative workshops about the handling of strategies and protocols of crisis intervention, especially to those who are interested en being part of the immediate intervention team.
»
To colaborate with the other levels of attention in promotion, training and consolidation of GIPSE activities.
For the adquisition of theoretical tools:
» Revision of information about important concepts and topics, such as: critical event, psychological crisis and trauma, loss-mourning; traumatic and postraumatic stress; empathy, affective and effective communication, etc.
»
Revision of information about crisis intervention strategies and procedures.
»
Revision and learning of psychological first aid.
»
Learning of basic strategies and tools of affective relation and communication that facilitate the acceptance of crisis intervention.
For the development of crisis intervention skills:
» Workshops for the adquisition of skills for the establishment of the initial affective relation and communication that favors the intervention in crisis procedures.
»
Selected clinical hipnosis topics and exercises applied to intervention in crisis.
»
Techniques for the reduction and handling of stress: breathing and relaxation.
»
Elaboration of a directory of the people who are interested in participating in this area.
»
Recuperation of the experiences obtained after de April 2010 earthquake.
Periodic sessions workshop style for:
»
Training (according to the consensus and availability of the team).
»
The elaboration of an immediate intervention protocol.
»
Feedback and evaluation of the activities; as well as of the development of the working group/team.
