Because this events occur in a sudden way, it is necesary that the society counts with a group of people with a high degree of professional training in the field of Psychology. This is why the generation of a group of specialists in a process of permanent capacitation is urgent. A small group of psychologists and students have organized ourselves with the purpose of being prepared for the events that we know are going to occur in the future; up to now this proyect is a reality and only in the city of Mexicali, we count with more than 200 members  in different levels of training in the field of Psychology. These psychologists are being invited to the conferences, workshops, reunions, etc. with the intention of training and updating ourselves in what we call “GIPSE´s permanent training program”.

Our goals are:

  • To shape up a group with a high degree of professional training in the field of Psychology that is capable of attending the various psychological symptoms that are originated by a highly traumatic event.
To offer its members diverse updating and training activities on the psychological effects originited by an emergency situation.
  • To offer conferences and basic training to the community that allows the society to know how to act to mitígate the negative psychological effects derived from a disastrous situation.
  • To create, develop and spread psychological first aid material.
  • To maintain a close connection with diverse professional associations, organizations and government agencies with the purpose of giving a whole systematic attention.
  • To provide qualified psychological help to vulnerable groups exposed to natural disasters and critical situations.
